Yoga (lit. “connection”) is a combination of planets that allows them to combine efforts and achieve better results. Astrological yogas are planetary configurations that give specific results. Yoga is usually formed by the arrangement of the planets in a certain order.
The strength or weakness of yoga depends on the condition of its participants. Strong planets form powerful yogas, while afflicted planets (placed in a hostile sign, in a bad house or Papa Kartari) are capable of only weak yogas. Evil aspects spoil yoga. The very nature of the planets participating in yoga and their position in signs and bhavas does not greatly affect the results of yoga.
Graha yogas are planetary combinations that include a series of events in the life of the native.
How to see planetary yogas in the Jagannatha Hora program:
- Click the 3rd tab from the left Strengths (forces)
- Press the central tab below Other Strengths (other forces)
- A list of different yogas will appear, which you need to carefully study
However, not all of these yogas will manifest themselves in our lives, since certain factors prevent the yogas from manifesting themselves.
For yoga to “turn on” and work, some conditions must be met:
1. Firstly, yoga should not be spoiled by malefics: if their influence is present, this means that some hostile forces or invisible obstacles do not allow yoga to manifest itself.
2. Secondly, the Sun and Moon must be strong enough. A strong Sun helps Yoga turn on (Sun is the father), and a strong Moon (mother) supports yoga.
With a weak Sun and (or) Moon, yoga does not have the power to manifest itself fully and remains only an ambition without realization or gives only a short or weak manifestation of yoga.
Yoga is constructed by the planet.
If it is strong in all respects, then yoga will manifest itself.
If this planet is afflicted or weak, yoga has no power to manifest or manifest at a minimum.
Pancha Mahapurusha Yoga
The five yogas of great personalities are formed when five planets (except Sun and the Moon ) fall into their signs, moolatrikona or signs of exaltation and are in any of the kendras (1st, 4th, 7th and 10th houses). They are quite common, but not all of their owners are literally “great personalities.” Why? In addition to the formal position of the planet as a sign of strength in a Kendra, the above conditions must be met for yoga to “turn on” and work.
Jupiter gives Hansa yoga. It makes an individual a scientist, bowed to spirituality, popular, and ethical.
Venus gives Malavya yoga, Malvya a special kind of expensive wood from which luxury items are made. It gives comfort and conditions for enjoyment.
Mercury gives Bhadra yoga, Bhadra means everything auspicious. It gives intelligence, cheerfulness, optimism and, a desire to help relatives and people in general.
Mars gives Ruchaka yoga, Ruchaka (radiant, brilliants a commander, commander. Gives courage, strength, determination n, and leadership qualities.
Saturn gives This makes a person strong and independent, a boss, a social leader, gives him many servants and subordinates, but at the same time his character and reputation are not always perfect.
Lagnesha (lord of Lagna) and Karyesha (significator) are the two most important planets that take part in the formation of almost any yoga. The owner of the Lagna represents the person himself.
The participation of the lord of the lagna is necessary so that we can believe that the events that take place will be related to the lord of the horoscope.
What kind of events will be shown to us by another planet – the significator – which represents the event, ruling a certain house in the chart.
That is, if the lagnesha has any connection with the owner, for example, the 5th house (significator, Karyesha of the 5th house), the onset of events related to children (ruled by the 5th house) is likely.
Likewise, if we see a connection between the lagna lord and the 7th lord, the event may refer to the person’s spouse (ruled by the 7th house).
The above strict understanding of the terms “Lagnesha ” and ” Karyesha ” is more applicable in Prashna, horary astrology.
Any house can be considered as Lagna and the relationship between the owner of this house (“Lagnesha”) and the owner of any other house (“Karyesha “)can be studied to predict events related to the original home.
For example, connection through the yogas of the lords of the 5th and 12th houses may indicate some loss (12th house!), associated with children (5th house!).
Similarly, the connection between the lords of the 7th and 11th houses can speak of income (11th house!) from a wife or business partners (7th house!).
Additionally, we can take into account the basic significations of the planets in question and their relationship with other planets.
So, participation in the yogas of the Moon can talk about events related to the mother, Mars – with the brother, etc.
And, finally, we can get additional shades of meaning by evaluating in which houses of the chart the planets that have entered into interaction are located.
In practice, the interpretation of each of the Tajaka Yogas requires an analysis of the following circumstances:
- Houses are ruled by the planets in question.
- Natural signs of the planets.
- Houses in which the planets that formed yoga are located.
- Planetary aspects and conjunctions influence the planets that form toga.
- The strength of the planets in the issue.
In classical writings, the terms Lagnesha and Karyesha refer exclusively to the lord of the lagna and the significator planet.
For purposes of convenience of presentation, when speaking of Tajaka Yogis, we will use these terms more broadly.
induvara yoga
This is the yoga of bad luck (literally, ” idbara” means ” failure “).
Definition: Induvara yoga is formed when all the planets are in the apoklima houses (3rd, 6th, 9th and 12th houses).
Results: This yoga is considered inauspicious.
It leads to disappointment, lowering of status, illness, anxiety and fear of enemies.
Commentary: Planets are considered benefic when placed in Kendras or Panapharas. They become bad if they are in apoclima.
In practice, we rarely come across a situation where there is a full Induvara yoga in the chart and all the planets are in apoclima.
But it can be said that this yoga is partially present when most of the planets are in these houses (say, 5 or more), and the rest of the planets are in kendras or panapharas.
